Niche Magazine was created to be inclusive but we only consider pieces that are well crafted, original, and previously unpublished. As of September 30, 2011, Niche Magazine will no longer be accepting submissions through e-mail. Please submit pieces through our Submission Manager powered by Submittable instead. Since we hope to publish experimental forms there is no required format. However, if possible, send files as doc. (not docx) and all images as JPEG. Please include a small bio with submissions, and please restrict submissions to one category at a time, (i.e. only submit fiction, not fiction and poetry in one submission). This category is for artists who wish to receive critiques, revise, and resubmit to us or submit to another magazines. If there is anything you would like us to comment on anything in particular please let us know.

REVIEWS: Reviews can be of anything. Book reviews should be of books currently in print. (Unless you're arguing on the behalf of an author that is out-of-print and shouldn't be). We take reviews of literary journals (in print or online), bands, concerts, and any other events you've recently experienced that might be of interest. Reviews should be more than 300 words but less than 1,000.
ESSAYS + FICTION+ CREATIVE+NON FICTION + NARRATIVE NON FICTION: We publish any subject and within any genre. Piece should be 4,500 words or less.
SHORT PIECES: Short pieces should be no more than 500 words. Brevity is key. You may submit 1-3 short pieces at a time. Please specify genre.
POETRY: We accept 1-3 short poems at a time. Longer pieces are also accepted.
INTERVIEWS: Have you interviewed someone of note such as a fiction writer, poet, singer and songwriter, essayist, horseback rider, therapist, or anyone with a business, artistic endeavor, interesting hobby, or burning passion? Looking for a place to submit? We'll take them.
AUDIO + MUSIC + PHOTOGRAPHY + ARTWORK: In addition to photography and artwork, we also seek audio clips and videos, not just of music, but of you reading authors reading their poetry and prose. We will not publish garbled or corrupt audio and video files.
OTHERS: Have a piece of writing or art form that crosses genres or does not meet the criteria of the categories listed above? Submit them too, and we’ll take a look. We don’t promise to publish everything but we will consider everything submitted with an open mind.
We read submissions year round. We allow simultaneous submissions only if you notify us immediately if your work is accepted for publication elsewhere. At this time, we cannot offer compensation for work. All rights are retained by submitter. We do ask that you credit Niche Magazine with first publication if a piece that was publish here first is re-published elsewhere.

NICHE MAGAZINE
is an online literary magazine that was designed to be limitless. It aims to provide a place where an array of voices, from experimental and conventional, pulp and literary, non-fiction and creative non-fiction, graphic mediums, artwork, and audio, can coexist. As people with varying passions we've striven to find places where we can express and belong. We're for those who have already carved or have yet to carve their perfect niche withom literary and non-literary communities.
