Niche was created to be inclusive, but we only consider pieces that are well crafted, original, and previously unpublished. We will only accept pieces that are submitted through our Submission Manager powered by Submittable. Since we hope to publish experimental forms there is no required format. However, if possible, send files as doc. (not docx) and all images as JPEG. Please include a small bio with submissions, and please restrict submissions to one category at a time, (i.e. only submit fiction, not fiction and poetry in one submission). Niche now provides in-depth critiques of work in every category for $25.00. Just submit to this category through Submission Manager. This category is for artists who wish to receive critiques, revise, and resubmit to us, or submit to other magazines. We now listed on Duotrope. Be sure to visit the site and enter your submission information. We allow simultaneous submissions only if you notify us immediately if your work is accepted for publication elsewhere. At this time, we cannot offer compensation for work. All rights are retained by submitter. We do ask that you credit Niche with first publication if a piece that was publish here first is re-published elsewhere. Book Reviews should be of books currently in print. (Unless you're arguing on the behalf of an author that is out-of-print and shouldn't be). We take reviews of literary journals (in print or online), Reviews should be more than 800 words but less than 3,000.
We will publish any subject and within any genre. Piece should be 4,500 words or less.
Short Shorts should be no more than 800 words. Brevity is key. You may submit 1-3 short pieces at a time. Please specify genre.
We accept 1-3 short poems at a time. Longer pieces are also accepted. Have any artwork? We'll take that too.
